Procurement Heads is currently exclusively working with a main contractor and due to continued growth is recruiting the role, Sustainable Procurement Lead.
The Procurement and Supply Chain Management team is responsible for the interface with third-party organisations who support the business for the procurement of goods and services and relationship management. The role will report to the Group Director of Procurement and Supply Chain and will be part of the functional leadership team.
The candidate will be responsible for designing the sustainable & responsible procurement strategy and coordinating the implementation of the roadmap and associated improvement plans to achieve the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) targets. This role is a key enabler to ensuring they are fully compliant with all regulatory requirements and that they accelerate their transition to net zero greenhouse gas emissions.
Role Requirements
- Degree Level education or relevant work experience
- Extensive experience in an ESG role (Sustainability in Procurement and Supply Chain)
- Experience in ESG & Risk frameworks, assessments & reporting
- Subject matter expert in Supply Chain Net Zero/Sustainability
- Thorough and current knowledge of sustainability practices, and applicable laws and regulations
- Champions Sustainability Safety, Health and Environment by putting personal safety and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do and helping the environment and communities to thrive
- Having integrity by always doing the right thing in the right way
- Must be customer focussed by striving for excellence through understanding, anticipating and meeting their needs
Salary and Benefits
- £70-80,000 per annum
