Recruitment tips in the run-up to Christmas

I just wanted to express how lovely it is to see that the market is still so buoyant in the run-up to Christmas, procurement job vacancies are still at a record high and it really looks like that momentum is going to carry on over the Christmas period.

I thought I’d outline some tips for those of you perhaps looking to apply for a position in the run-up to Christmas.

I think first and foremost, it’s imperative that you outline your commitments, expectations and time scales to the employer or to the hiring managers from the very outset of the process.

That way you can manage each other’s expectations and there will be no disappointments when start dates are pushed back or interviews can’t be made.

Second of all, if you are looking to go away, you are breaking up over Christmas I think it’s a really good idea to get an up-to-date CV done prior to that. No one wants to be doing a CV or updating a CV while they’re relaxing with family!

If you would like any advice moving forward, or any tips on how to get the best out of your CV, then please do reach out to me.

Procurement Heads a number of current roles on offer if you are looking to make that next procurement move, I myself specialise in the industrial practice, so would be happy to have conversations with anyone looking to get into that area or looking to progress in that space.

I will leave my email address in the comments below, so please do feel free to reach out to me, other than that, have a fantastic Christmas and a happy New Year.
