A world-leading Technology giant is investing in it’s ESG & Supply Chain risk management capabilities and is building a greenfield team.

 

Our client is embarking on an exciting transformation programme focused on delivering value to the business with a heavy focus on Supply Chain Risk, Sustainability & Responsible Procurement at the core of everything we do.

With a global remit, operating across 15 countries, you will be responsible for the design and execution of the supply chain ESG strategies that deliver insight, visibility & risk management to the organisation.

You will be an expert in building exceptional internal & external relationships, built on expertise, positive friction, a tenacity to create this important function which has a large internal focus.

This is a brand-new role, a therefore a fantastic opportunity to build, shape, drive value within an important area of business focus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development and implementation of a supply chain visibility framework that identifies supply chain risk with clear mitigation plans to minimize potential disruption to the business.
  • Reviewing our procurement processes to ensure they are minimising supply chain risks wherever possible.
  • Tracking the progress of those mitigation plans and reporting to Procurement Leadership Team on status.
  • Supporting the wider Procurement team to identify critical risks within tender processes, supplier onboarding or contract renewals, e.g category of spend, location of delivery of the services, stability of the supplier.
  • Maintain and develop knowledge of the markets and supply chain risks.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with your stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to utilise technology to support risk management and support the implementation.
  • Co-ordinating wider business comms on Supply chain risk, including reporting.
  • Support the delivery of plans to manage supply chain risk events e.g COVID.
  • Supporting the Procurement Business Partners with stakeholder discussions on opportunities to address supply chain risks that have been identified.
  • Maintain and develop knowledge of supply chain risk management practices, current and future global legislative requirements, that have a bearing on our supply chain engagements. Turning these insights into actions that could be embedded into our procurement processes and approach.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with your stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate and embed DEI behaviours and practices in your ways of working and engagement with stakeholders, team members and suppliers

Your Skills:

  • Good understanding of supply chain risk management practices.
  • Good understanding of procurement lifecycle concepts and procedures and how they fit together.
  • Good communicating and influencing skills at all levels both internally and externally.
  • Good analytical skills – ability to source data, analyse and draw conclusions.
