A leading defence organisation is looking to recruit a Supply Chain Buyer to operate across a range of complex projects and programmes.
This global organisation specialises in large engineering projects within the defence industry.
As a Principal Buyer, you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out transactional procurement of direct project material and services to ensure timely availability
- Using their ERP system to source, negotiate, transact purchase orders and manage process queries
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with all key internal stakeholders
- Leading effective communications and employee engagement
- Providing regular progress reports against deliverables and ensuring support to supplier performance reviews
- Developing supplier relationships to gain the maximum benefit and efficiencies in relation to business objectives
Qualifications and experience:
- Knowledge of ERP systems
- A good understanding of procurement principles and best practices
- CIPS (desirable)
Salary and benefits:
- Up to £37,500 base salary
- Hybrid working (2/3)
