Supplier Relationship Manager

Procurement Heads' Public Sector team is recruiting a Supplier Relationship Manager for Cleveland Clinic London.

Procurement Heads is fortunate enough to be working on a retained basis with Cleveland Clinic London, a non-profit international healthcare organisation with more than a century of heritage and a mature procurement function.

As of March this year, Cleveland Clinic London has built a brand new state-of-the-art 184-bed private hospital in the heart of London, its first in the UK.

Globally, they care for 6m patient visits per year across more than 200 locations and employ more than 65,000 caregivers worldwide to continue a drive for innovative healthcare.

The Supplier Relationship Manager role first and foremost will be to improve the strategic relationship and oversight of CCL’s extensive portfolio of commercial suppliers.

The role will be responsible for maximising operational performance in line with the contractual commitments whilst minimising risk and reducing costs.

Supporting the SCM Director and the wider supply chain team, the Supplier Relationship Manager will be tasked with helping deliver a professional procurement service across Cleveland Clinic London.

Fortunately, their procurement function is mature and it would be fair to say they have a good strong relationship with the internal clinicians (stakeholders).

However, the team needs a better steer when it comes to supplier relationships.

They’re keen for this person to step in and manage supplier relationships more actively, managing the KPIs and kickstarting regular review meetings.

As part of its growth strategy, CCL is planning to open a new outpatient department in Moorgate, for which this role will also be responsible for managing contracts and suppliers as this project develops. 

About you:

You will be based on-site 3 days per week with the remainder hybrid.

You will be expected to demonstrate effective leadership, strong supplier management skills and legal & technical expertise.

You will be able to consolidate and ensure existing suppliers are adhering to KPIs, whilst supporting the sourcing team in their day-to-day procurement activity.

Display excellent commercial awareness, and exceptional financial acumen.

Team structure:

This role will be reporting directly to the Director of Supply Chain Management.

Interview format:

  • 1st Stage on Teams (TBC with whom)
  • 2nd Stage in person with the Director of Supply Chain Management and CFO.

Salary and benefits of the Supplier Relationship Manager role:

  • The salary bracket is between £65-75,000 depending on experience
