Procurement Heads Financial & Professional Services team is hiring a Supplier Manager for a global professional services business.

Procurement Heads is delighted to be hiring a Supplier Manager on behalf of a multi-billion pound global services business.

This business operates across various industries globally, with this role sitting within its FM business unit for a client in the healthcare industry.

Procurement is extremely well valued in the business and it sees the function as a strong lever to drive its profitability through its upcoming growth plans.

As Supplier Manager you will be focused on helping to improve supplier performance, closing the contract gap, and consolidating existing contracts.

The role will operate a hybrid working model, with 3-4 days spent on the Oxford site, with the rest spent working from home.

Key responsibilities of the Supplier Manager role:

  • Scheduling and escorting suppliers on-site and covering required sign-offs and approvals for works completed
  • Day-to-day operational supplier management and performance monitoring
  • Participating and contributing to supplier governance material, reporting and governance meetings
  • Acting as a local interface for day-to-day supplier performance issues
  • Helping to deliver the correct balance of leveraged group and local suppliers utilising the group PSL
  • Operating to the business’ framework achieving full compliance with all owned elements of the required monthly and quarterly activities
  • Helping to implement supplier management activities across a portfolio of suppliers (c.30-40 high-value / critical suppliers)
  • Completion of all monthly compliance and risk/performance reporting
  • Identification of failures, risks and issues with suppliers, and lead action plan to resolve or mitigate

Key skills and experience for the Supplier Manager role:

  • A self-starter, able to manage a high-pressure workload
  • Awareness of the market environment and understanding of suppliers and supply chain
  • Supplier Management/Procurement experience
  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Working in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding public sector working and contracts is desirable
  • Experienced in supplier/contract management, ideally in highly regulated environments
  • Good working knowledge of supplier risks
  • Proficient at stakeholder engagement
