Supplier Contracts Manager (12-month FTC) | Fortune 500 Company | London

A Fortune 500 corporate services company with a best-in-class Procurement function is seeking a Supplier Contracts Manager to oversee a wide range of strategic contracts across the business’ portfolio.

Reporting to the Head of Supplier Management and with one direct report, the Supplier Contracts Manager role will be a mix of shrewd negotiation and project management, seeing you manage and lead an audit of all current contracts to identify a prioritised refresh programme. 

As Supplier Contracts Manager your key responsibilities will be:

  • Leading a contract audit across all the agreements in place to:
    • Ensure information captured is accurate 
    • Capture data points allow strategic decision making 
    • Ensure a list of prioritised agreements are agreed upon internally 
    • Progress against high priority agreements is made 
  • Driving the finalisation of supplier contracts to the mutual satisfaction of both parties by: 
    • Adopting the best negotiation strategy 
    • Leading the negotiation 
    • Influencing internal and external stakeholders
    • Complying with the business’ governance policies
    • Achieving a signed contract document  
    • Utilising the business’ platforms
  • Line and people Management of one Contracts Analyst 
  • Creation of a collaborative supplier engagement culture within the team
  • Stakeholder engagement with the wider teams including Supply Chain, Commercial and Finance to ensure robust process and agreements which mitigate risk

Skills and experience:

  • Experience with drafting and negotiating complex contract management 
  • Self-motivated and comfortable with complex problem solving 
  • Relationship driven approach 
  • Good commercial negotiation skills 
  • Ability to deal with all aspects of commercial/contract risk
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written fluency in English
  • Thrive on a fast pace working in a regional and global business
  • Qualification/training in contract law
