Due to growth, a FTSE 100 FMCG organisation is looking for a Sourcing Manager to help with some key focus projects over the next year.
A division of a FTSE 100 FMCG organisation is looking to strengthen the team with the addition of a Strategic Sourcing Manager with good generalist category knowledge. This team already has two existing Managers and this position would be the third addition purely due to the growth and volume of projects.
Reporting to the Head of Strategic Sourcing and supported by Sourcing Specialists, you will get involved in key sourcing projects across a whole host of categories both food and non-food.
You do not have to have deep-rooted category expertise in a particular area; this role would hugely benefit from an agile individual who has demonstrated the ability to pick up sourcing projects as needed for an organisation rather than being fixed to a key area.
In addition, you will also be involved in formulating bids, bids support as well as being part of the Social Value team. This organisation has a carbon net-zero target of 2030 and has won numerous awards for its sustainability efforts.
You will be passionate about social value and will have this at the heart of your decision making and negotiations.
This is a fast-paced role requiring you to deal with multiple projects at any one time. There are currently 50 tenders planned for next month alone to give you some context.
HQ is based in Surrey but the company has a relaxed approach to how many days this translates into being in the office with a likely hybrid approach or pragmatic view as business need requires it.
If you want to join a company that cares about the planet, is high energy and high pace and you want to broaden your category expertise, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.
