Senior Procurement Manager

I’m delighted to partner with a private equity-backed merger of two leading organisations in the Commercial Real Estate sector to recruit a Senior Procurement Manager. This is a newly created role at a pivotal time for the business, as they undergo significant Finance and Technology transformations. Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality solutions
  • Partner with departmental heads to set realistic cost expectations and maintain accurate financial forecasts
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, optimise procurement processes, and enhance efficiency
  • Assess procurement risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure business continuity through contingency planning
  • Negotiate supplier contracts and ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and ethical standards
  • Deliver timely, insightful cost reports and performance analysis to senior management.
  • Work closely with Finance, Operations, and Legal teams to align procurement with organisational needs
  • Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement

 
Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a senior procurement role, ideally within a private equity-backed, real estate, or consumer-focused business
  • Strong knowledge of procurement strategies, supply chain management, and contract negotiation
  • Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and cost analysis techniques
  • Ability to analyse complex data, solve problems, and make informed decisions
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel or financial modelling skills
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (professional certifications such as ACA, CFA, or CMA preferred)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Highly organised, commercially minded, and proactive with a flexible, resilient attitude
