Senior Procurement Consultant

Great opportunity for an experienced Procurement professional to join a global sourcing operation with a UK spend of over £1 billion.  Aligned to the Corporate Real Estate & Operations Category of this leading FS institution, you’ll experience a huge variety of projects from Property to Waste, Stationary to Logistics and have exposure to incredibly senior stakeholders who truly understand, and value, the role Procurement plays within an organisation.

  • Conduct market and spend analysis for the category, monitor latest trends to recommend cost optimisations and market innovations to the client
  • Support the Category Manager in defining and executing strategies for various spend areas
  • Coordinate and deliver multiple tenders and negotiations, including drafting RFx documentation, completing technical and commercial offer analysis, negotiating terms, and preparing recommendations for key stakeholders
  • Assist in reviewing and defining RFI/P specifications, recommending the best commercial approaches for value and savings
  • Advise on supplier selection criteria, ensuring transparency in the procurement process, and manage stakeholder relationships across the organisation
  • Document negotiation results, report status and progress, complete legal contracts using templates, negotiate commercial terms, and liaise with the Legal Department as needed

Skills & Experience

  • Previous sourcing experience within Corporate Real Estate, Operations, or relevant Indirect Categories
  • High level of understanding of category spend, cost management, strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, supplier management and online auctions
  • Ability to work in a high profile, fast paced environment ,and deal with very senior stakeholders
  • CIPS desirable though not essential
