Senior Buyer – Technology Procurement

Our client who is within Financial Services is looking for an experienced Senior Buyer to play a key role in leading procurement activities and managing third-party supplier relationships across the organisation. You’ll partner with stakeholders to deliver value, manage risk, and ensure compliance with internal frameworks and regulatory requirements.

Financial Service/Banking experience is needed.

Location – London (The City) 2 days per week.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead end-to-end procurement activities, including supplier selection, RfX processes, and contract negotiations.
  • Be a procurement technology expert with strong expertise around cloud services and cloud migration.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, providing strategic procurement support.
  • Drive commercial negotiations and collaborate closely with Legal and Finance teams.
  • Support supplier relationship management to optimise commercial value and performance.
  • Identify and deliver value optimisation initiatives throughout the supplier lifecycle.
  • Ensure procurement activities align with governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
  • Coach and support less experienced procurement team members.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience leading procurement technology projects, ideally within a regulated environment.
  • Strong expert within procurement technology with strong expertise around cloud services and cloud migration.
  • Strong commercial and contract negotiation skills, including experience with Tier 1 suppliers.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing abilities.
  • Solid understanding of soft services procurement and supplier management.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
