A leading UK financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join its commercial procurement and third-party management team. This is a great opportunity for a procurement professional who enjoys working with a range of stakeholders, shaping supplier decisions, and helping the business get the best value from its supplier base.
You’ll work across a variety of categories, supporting new engagements and renewals and ensure a smooth and strategic approach to third-party relationships. This is a role for someone who enjoys combining commercial thinking with structured risk awareness and stakeholder collaboration.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Managing sourcing activity across indirect spend, including supplier selection, RFPs and onboarding
- Negotiating commercial terms and contracts with new and existing vendors
- Building strong internal relationships to support business needs with compliant and cost-effective supplier solutions
- Supporting supplier performance and issue resolution throughout the contract lifecycle
- Collaborating with internal risk and compliance teams to ensure third-party activity aligns with regulatory requirements
- Contributing to continuous improvement across procurement processes and tools
What You’ll Bring:
- Strong background in procurement or commercial sourcing, ideally in regulated or complex environments
- Confidence in managing supplier negotiations, contracts and RFPs
- Understanding of procurement governance and third-party risk
- Ability to influence stakeholders across different departments
- Experience in indirect categories such as facilities, marketing, IT or professional services
- Comfortable working in hybrid environments with a mix of face-to-face and remote collaboration
- CIPS qualification (or currently studying) is desirable but not essential
