Senior Buyer

Following functional transformation, alignment to a Category Management model and an internal promotion, we’re thrilled to come to market with a great opportunity for a Senior Buyer to join a leading UK Merchant Bank based in the City of London. 
Reporting into the Category Lead, you’ll be part of a highly regarded and visible team leading Technology procurement activity in line with business requirement and strategy.
Key Responsibilities include

  • Leading procurement activity to support for new, and renewing, engagements
    • Managing key internal and external Stakeholders
    • Assessment, selection, negotiation and delivery of third-party solutions
    • Remaining in budgetary alignment
  • Supplier Relationship Management to ensure commercial value is optimised across full lifecycle
  • Executing established Sourcing strategies and working with the business and finance to identify, measure and track value delivery
  • Working within the TPRM framework to ensure prudent and practical management of risk whilst striving to meet Stakeholder needs
  • Ensuring that all governance and compliance requirements are adhered to and reporting standards are maintained.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in managing Technology procurement projects
  • Contract Negotiation skills
  • Stakeholder Management experience and strong influencing skills
  • Analytical and Data drive approach
  • Strong IT skills
  • CIPs qualified with Financial Services experience would be desirable
