Procurement Heads is working with a fast-growing rail vehicle and track maintenance business, coordinating recruitment of a Project Buyer. Initially the role will be offered as a 6 month FTC, however there is a strong prospect this will convert to a permanent position in future.
Overview
- Varied Buyer/Senior Buyer level role, working within a small Procurement team and managing purchasing activities in support of several projects
- Mix of Directs buying, MRO and Inventory – largely rail parts and items used in rail engineering and maintenance
Key Skills
- Prior experience in buying/end to end procurement remit/s
- Experience buying direct materials and/or MRO procurement will be advantageous
- Availability to attend site (Midlands) on a hybrid working basis, and to start within one month
Location, Remuneration and Timeframe
- Midlands location (Derby) and site attendance will be required on a hybrid working basis (expected 3-4 days per week on site initially)
- Salary range £32,000 – £40,000 (depending on experience), pro rata, plus benefits
- Initial 6 month contract, to start ASAP (ideally within one month)
This business is growing rapidly and there is a likelihood the role will convert to a permanent position as part of this growth (however, applicants who would only be interested/available for a 6 month contract will also be considered)
