Procurement Heads is partnering with a prestigious luxury manufacturing client, known globally for their craftsmanship, attention to detail, and innovative design. they are seeking an experienced Master Scheduler / Production Planner to add to their team of Production Planners, and to play a key role in optimising production efficiency and ensuring the timely delivery of their high-end products.
Key Responsibilities
As the Master Scheduler / Production Planner, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing and managing the master production schedule, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and production targets are met.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and operations, to ensure production aligns with customer requirements and business objectives.
- Analysing material requirements and production capacities to forecast demand and manage production schedules efficiently.
- Monitoring production performance and adjusting schedules as needed to manage changes in demand or production issues.
- Being involved in driving continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, reducing lead times, and optimising overall production processes.
- Ensuring clear communication with internal stakeholders to maintain transparency on production progress and timelines.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in master scheduling and production planning within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of production processes, capacity planning, and supply chain management.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems for production planning and scheduling.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with the flexibility to adapt quickly to changes and make informed decisions under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail and a passion for process improvement.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multiple teams and stakeholders.
- A proactive approach, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance production performance and customer satisfaction.
