Procurement Manager – Capex & Lifecycle
Salary: £50,000 – £58,000 per annum
Location: Milton Keynes (Hybrid)
Contract Type: Permanent

We are working with a leading UK organization to recruit an experienced Senior Buyer who will drive procurement excellence across Capex & Lifecycle while supporting strategic sourcing for critical procurement categories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead procurement strategy for 5 PFI contracts, ensuring supplier performance and cost efficiencies.
  • Develop and implement 1, 3, and 5-year category strategies based on spend analysis and business needs.
  • Negotiate contracts from start to finish, holding suppliers accountable for delivering value and productivity improvements.
  • Support procurement activities across Capex, Lifecycle, MRO, Business Services, Fleet, Energy, and Facilities when required.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Operations, and Legal teams to align procurement objectives with business strategy.
  • Manage the full tender process, including preparing documentation and conducting supplier negotiations.
  • Monitor procurement programs, maintain progress reports, and mitigate risk exposure across sourcing projects.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4-5 years’ experience in procurement, ideally within an engineering-focused business.
  • Strong expertise in NEC contracts and NEC sourcing.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts independently and manage supplier relationships effectively.
  • Proven experience in category strategy development, driving long-term sourcing plans.
  • Knowledge of the strategic sourcing process, with a track record of achieving year-on-year savings.
  • Flexibility to travel across UK sites on a weekly basis.
