Procurement Manager

A well-regarded UK Bank is looking for a Procurement Manager to manage non-IT categories.

You’ll be joining a collaborative, people-focused team tasked with managing critical supplier relationships and embedding smart, risk-aware procurement processes across the business.

This isn’t box-ticking. It’s about building strategic partnerships, negotiating with major providers, and acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead procurement activity for both new and renewing third-party engagements
  • Own and drive contract and commercial negotiations, often with Tier 1 suppliers
  • Work closely with Legal, Finance and the business to align procurement activity with budget and risk controls
  • Champion best practice supplier relationship management and issue resolution
  • Identify value creation opportunities across key supplier relationships
  • Support and coach colleagues as part of a supportive, high-performing procurement function

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Proven track record in managing end-to-end procurement projects
  • Skilled negotiator with experience handling high-value or complex contracts
  • Able to engage, challenge and influence senior stakeholders
  • Knowledge of indirect categories such as soft services, professional services or IT
  • Familiarity with third-party risk frameworks and regulatory requirements in financial services
  • CIPS-qualified or working towards it (desirable)
