Partnering exclusively with a Hampshire based client, we’re on the search for a Procurement Manager.
This is a newly created cross-functional role, that will work closely with Category Managers across Corporate Services and IT (c. £100m overall procurement spend). You’ll have the opportunity to lead on complex, high value projects including IT software, marketing, contingent labor, and consultancy.
What you can expect from this role
- Opportunity to lead the strategy and delivery of all elements of procurement and contract management within your designated category areas
- Stakeholder engagement and relationship building, internally and externally
- Development and implementation of procurement strategies in line with business objectives
- Supporting with evaluations and recommended sourcing options, tactics, implementation plans and commercial supply risks
- Leading the relationships with suppliers to drive value for money, cost savings and performance improvement.
Outside of demonstrating relevant experience to the above accountabilities, our client will want to assess the following skills and criteria:
- Evidence of running end-to-end procurements (experience of leading on corporate/professional services/IT tenders would be advantageous)
- Previous experience or exposure to contract management
- Evidence of influencing negotiation skills and analytical thinking
- Ability to juggle multiple procurements at a time, working within a commercial procurement/supply chain function
- Knowledge of Public Regulations 2015 / Awareness of the new Procurement Act 2023
- Ability to work with external and internal stakeholders at all levels
