Procurement Manager

Procurement Heads is excited to be partnering with one of the world’s leading sporting federations as it seeks to hire its first procurement professional to play a pivotal role in its journey. 

Our client is a global organisation proudly breaking boundaries, making an impact and delivering high-quality, exhilarating competitions for sports lovers globally. 

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for guiding the business on best-practice procurement strategies and managing the delivery of all procurement requirements across the board.

The role will range from strategic contract management, supplier sourcing and establishing procurement strategy. 

Key responsibilities of the Procurement Manager role include: 

  • Evaluate the existing supplier base and draw up strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of these relationships. 
  • Implement best practice procurement framework – establishing KPIs, SLAs and key evaluation criteria
  • Partner closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver mutually beneficial procurement strategies
  • Sourcing, negotiating and embedding new suppliers for core categories across the business.
  • Set sourcing and contract management policies, driving towards financial efficiency goals
  • Performing and presenting risk assessments on new and existing contracts

About you:

  • Sound procurement expertise, working across a range of categories
  • Experience sourcing, negotiating with and assessing suppliers and contracts
  • Demonstrable experience in driving cost efficiencies through sourcing via open procedures, single sourcing, framework agreements and other routes to market
  • Experience leading tenders and negotiating contacts
  • Preparing, reviewing and agreeing on contract terms and conditions and commercial schedules
  • Very strong stakeholder management ability with customer centricity at the heart of your thought process
  • Commercially astute with an analytical eye for data and finances
