Procurement Manager

Procurement Heads' Industrial practice is working with a leading life sciences company which is looking for a Procurement Manager.

You will lead the indirect procurement categories, optimising key supplier relationships through robust category management, risk evaluation and innovation.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to drive improvements and implement change through utilising excellent relationship management with the third-party supply chain.
  
As Procurement Manager your key responsibilities will be:

  • Driving the “source to contract” process across categories.
  • Identifying development opportunities
  • Supplier relationship management
  • Ensure robust contracts are completed that include SLAs and KPIs
  • Lead development and delivery of category plans for indirect procurement categories
  • Coaching and development of colleagues.
  • Deputy for the Head of Procurement as required.
  • Review internal and external processes to drive further optimisation.
  • Identify through analysis and assessment, sustainability and social value opportunities within the supply chain and collaborate with stakeholders to implement.

Qualifications and experience:

  • University degree/postgraduate qualification
  • MICPS qualified or working towards the qualification
  • Proven contract negotiation and influencing skills
  • Leadership skills
  • Entrepreneurial flair and skills
  • Ability to drive change
