Procurement Manager

A globally recognised brand is looking to expand and is recruiting a Procurement Manager.

They are also pioneers in sustainability and have gone completely green, receiving recognition from the United Nations for their work.

Additionally, they are striving to ensure sustainability from their supply base which will be a main key aim from this role.

You will report to the Senior Procurement Manager and have complete ownership over the corporate and professional services category circa £20m.

As Procurement Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the process to develop and prioritise a rolling strategic plan to maximise the deliverable savings from key business areas with the potential to ultimately be responsible for managing a team of Procurement Managers
  • Lead Negotiations with Suppliers & take commercial ownership
  • Weekly and Monthly Stakeholder meetings (Heads of & Directors)
  • Manage Corporate Function categories ensuring best in class service
  • Support stakeholder commercial objectives, deliver savings targets and service improvement expectations
  • Manage Corporate Categories ensuring best in class service
  • Work with key stakeholders on an ongoing basis to ensure their commercial objectives are met by being incorporated into the overall strategic plan
  • Support and promote purchasing best practices across the whole procurement group
  • Support the development of Contracts and Service Level Agreements and work with Legal Team to maintain the Contracts database
  • To support the Procurement Managers with guidance and adherence to procurement policies
  • Support PM’s and Corporate Governance with contract coverage across key suppliers
  • Draft Contracts and Service Level Agreements and maintain the Contracts database, providing support and expertise, where required
  • Develop and prioritise a strategic category plan to maximise the deliverable savings from the specific key business categories
  • Promote procurements benefits and best practice sourcing principles to stakeholders and enable traditionally non-accessible spend areas to be targeted
  • Define the sourcing approach, provide market analysis and develop specifications for each project working with internal stakeholders
  • Manage and lead the competitive tender process, including evaluating responses, leading negotiations and presenting recommendations to Heads of and Directors
  • Lead implementation and ensure stakeholder and commercial objectives are realised
  • Proactively review existing contract cover for suppliers, using value and risk-based mechanisms to develop and implement an action plan to improve contract cover and compliance to contracts
  • Lead the use of Bravo and other strategic sourcing tools to deliver increased value

  
Skills and experience required:

  • Ability to quickly develop a commercial understanding
  • Ability to develop negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to build key internal and external relationships
  • Good leadership skills
  • Strong contractual knowledge of both commercial and Legal
  • CIPS Qualified preferred
