Procurement Category Manager – Indirects

A well-known, London-based retail company is looking to hire a Procurement Category Manager for Indirects.

This renowned UK company is one you’re almost certainly familiar and that has a brilliant reputation.

The company is looking to bring someone new into their stellar team as a Procurement Category Manager for Indirects. 

In this position, you’d be reporting directly to the Head of Procurement and working to support the development of the categories under your control.

Such categories would include Restaurants, Security, and Finance so previous experience in those areas is a plus. 

The company is operating a hybrid working policy with 2-3 days a week in one of their London offices.

Key responsibilities/skills:

  • Support the development of categories 
  • Assist in the management of the cost base by delivering opportunities that drive costs out through strong negotiation, value engineering, and strengthening supplier relationships to mitigate risk and improve performance.
  • Manage all aspects of the sourcing lifecycle in support of the company’s strategic vision.
  • Responsible for the procurement of goods and services in the Kitchen and Restaurants, Security, Finance and Travel categories.
  • Strategic category management, delivery of short to long term cost improvements and supplier relationship management.
  • Creating and Managing category plans. 

Ideally, you will have 3+ years of category management experience in the retail or hospitality sector. You will also be expected to have strong stakeholder engagement and management capabilities as well as excellent oral and written communication skills.
