Procurement Analytics Manager | FMCG | Herts

A dynamic, creative and ambitious FTSE 250 FMCG organisation with a fantastic sustainability agenda for 2021 is seeking a Procurement Analytics Manager to join its team as it continues its five-year transformation programme.

As an integral part of this strategy, you will drive the adoption of a more value-driven approach, with tighter governance on supplier spend, underpinned by best-in-class supporting technologies and analytics

This exciting, newly created role will cover the full S2P cycle across both Direct and Indirect Procurement and you’ll lead on Procurement PMO, spend tracking and reporting as well as supporting the development and implementation of category strategies. 

As Procurement Analytics Manager your key responsibilities will be:

  • Defining current supporting requirements and making recommendations to implement best in class analytics
  • Adopting ownership of SAP Analytics Cloud for the Procurement team and ensuring delivery of monthly analytics and dashboard KPI reporting to the leadership team and external stakeholders
  • Providing data analysis and support to Category Managers as they develop and implement category strategies in areas including category spend profiling, supplier and customer market insight, supplier financial risk tracking, competitor analysis, in-flight contract price tracking, predictive spend etc, ensuring it is presented in a meaningful way
  • Supporting the Procurement sustainability agenda, working closely with the Category Manager for Sustainability to establish how technology might support key areas such as CO2 measurement and ethical sourcing/proof of origin across the full supply chain 
  • Owning the eSourcing process using Ariba technology and supporting the build of eSourcing events and templates
  • Leading all PMO activity
  • Owning category management toolkit, including version control and refresh
  • Owning the supplier performance and reporting process
  • Working with external Category Management trainer on knowledge transfer to enable ‘train the trainer’ approach
  • Managing content on the eLearning workspace
  • Developing a process to on-board new employees and ensure compliance to process

Skills and experience:

  • Proven experience working in a similar role
  • Experience with SAP Analytics and SAP Ariba 
  • Experience working in an industry with a Supply Chain
