Head of Supply Chain
Procurement Heads are delighted to be partnered with a global leader within their manufacturing sector of sustainable resource management. This client has been successfully operating and growing for over 30 years. With rapid international growth in the USA and APAC, they are looking to bring in a Head of Supply Chain to optimise the UK procurement and warehousing and then look beyond in line with their global growth business strategy.
Location: Cwmbran, South Wales (Hybrid –3 days onsite)
Salary: Up to £75,000 + Up to 10% Bonus + Shares Scheme
Head of Supply Chain role:
This is a pivotal leadership role where you will own and shape the Supply Chain strategy for a high-growth, profitable business. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will lead a team of around 12 across procurement and warehouse functions, driving transformation, cost optimisation, and operational excellence.
We are looking for a passionate people leader to bring energy and ownership to their teams, with robust procurement and supply chain skills and a passion for value creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a Supply Chain strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Lead and develop procurement and warehouse teams, creating clarity and accountability.
- Drive process maturity, implementing frameworks and best practice.
- Negotiate strategic supplier agreements, including consignment stock, Kanban systems, and call-off contracts.
- Optimise inventory management and mitigate single-source risks.
- Identify and deliver on value adds, cost savings and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders to support international growth
What We’re Looking For
- Degree calibre with 5+ years in senior supply chain leadership.
- Proven experience in procurement, supplier management, and inventory optimisation.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire and build high-performing teams.
- Commercial acumen and negotiation skills with a hunger for savings and value creation.
- Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems, lean methodologies, and Kanban.
- Resilient, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, global environment.
