Bar some areas, Procurement has now taken over every area of purchasing and contract management when in its infancy, just managed F&B and hotel spend.

There are however 3 operating companies in the group as this role presents a real opportunity to engage the rest of the organisation and perhaps leverage the scale rather than remain UK focused.

Sustainability is a key focus for the organisation moving forward having appointed a Sustainability Procurement Manager last year who has focused on single-use plastics and more latterly ethical sourcing and animal welfare.

If environmental impact is important to you, you can make a real difference here as the company is at the start of their journey.

This isn’t a role where you can devise and deliver your 5-year strategy. You must listen to the needs of the business and be organisationally aware at all times.

You will also need to demonstrate solid leadership as part of your role. This is a team of 30 high performing individuals that will not need hand-holding but will look to you for strategic guidance and support.

Yes, the business suffered a downturn due to Covid and some tough decisions were made at the time.
