A fast-paced, South-London based organisation with huge growth, they are seeking a Category Manager (Non-Clinical) to take on a leadership role in an expanding team headed up by a Head of Procurement (Non-Clinical).
With an annual turnover of circa £90 million and in excess of 170 staff, this private organisation manages the Procurement of an additional circa £400m of annual spend for an admired NHS Trust. Operating out of its easily accessible offices in Zone 1, you will work in the non-clinical division, supporting the following categories:
- Estates and Facilities
- Capital Equipment
Managing a small team of Procurement specialists and a core spend of £10-20m, you will provide a responsive and professional service, fostering relationships and acting as a true ambassador to the NHS Trust when procuring goods. Negotiating and re-negotiating contracts for cost optimisation will be a big part of your role to ensure you deliver on savings targets, while also delivering a portfolio of high-value contracts in complex areas.
Essential knowledge and experience:
- A proven public sector Procurement leader with extensive OJEU experience and expertise in developing mid-to-long operational plans
- Driven, self-motivated and able to work under pressure
- Degree educated and MCIPS (or equivalent) with knowledge in the non-clinical categories mentioned above
