Category Manager (Non-Clinical)

Procurement Heads' Public Sector team is recruiting a Category Manager (Non-Clinical) for Cleveland Clinic London.

Procurement Heads is fortunate enough to be working on a retained basis with Cleveland Clinic London, a non-profit international healthcare organisation with more than a century of heritage and a mature procurement function.

As of March this year, Cleveland Clinic London has built a brand new state-of-the-art 184-bed private hospital in the heart of London, its first in the UK.

Globally, they care for 6m patient visits per year across more than 200 locations and employ more than 65,000 caregivers worldwide to continue a drive for innovative healthcare.

Due to an internal restructuring that sees two of the current interim/FTC members leaving in December, the team is looking to appoint a Category Manager for Non-Clinical procurement on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.

This role first and foremost will be responsible for developing and implementing category management and sourcing strategies across non-clinical spend, supporting the Senior Category Manager team and the wider supply chain team to conduct supply chain sourcing operations.

Primarily they’re looking for someone to fill the gap with facilities management contracts, through the adoption of single and dual source contracts across all categories, leveraging and consolidating the current suppliers.

This role oversees and manages various spend categories focusing on streamlining the sourcing process, driving cost reduction initiatives and the utilisation of contracted products and services.

About you

You will be based on-site 3 days per week with the remainder hybrid.

You will have a good facilities management background and an understanding of both hard and soft services.

You will have experience, equivalent to two or more roles or equivalent progression with indirects category management experience across a range of hard and soft FM categories (including catering, waste, and security services), marketing, print and stationery, and across both self-delivered and outsourced operating models.

Team structure:

This role of Category Manager Non-Clinical will be reporting to the Senior Category Manager: Head of Sourcing for Clinical & Indirects.

Interview format:

  • 1st Stage on Teams (TBC with whom)
  • 2nd Stage in person on-site with the Senior Category Manager.

  • £55-65,000 depending on experience.
