Category Manager – Marketing

A leading insurance and asset management business is recruiting a Category Manager to oversee marketing spend. Joining a business with a social purpose that drives the business forward, you will work amongst a collaborative and highly effective team.

As Category Manager you will oversee marketing spend, working across a range of marketing categories and business-critical projects. You will interface with key senior stakeholders, working on long term strategic objectives to deliver procurement excellence.

The Procurement team are highly ambitious and have a shared commitment to continuously improve and grow. You will work in a supportive environment and alongside a Procurement Director who is accessible and approachable. Throughout the course of your career here you will be developed to achieve the best you possibly can. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and execute category strategy, in line with procurement best practice
  • Contribute to assigned savings targets
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to align procurement to business objectives
  • Drive change and challenge where required
  • Manage supplier relationships
  • Act as a subject matter expert and credible Procurement advisor to relevant business units

About you:

For this role we are seeking a Category Manager who comes with previous experience of overseeing marketing spend. You will have a sound working knowledge of end to end procurement cycles and come with the gravitas to engage key stakeholders and build longstanding relationships.
