Procurement Heads is supporting one of the UK’s leading retailers as they strengthen their central procurement function. As such, they are recruiting a Category Manager to lead on strategic projects across the Logistics, Engineering and Property categories.
You’ll be getting involved in a very exciting period of transformation across the business, giving you the opportunity to truly drive positive impact on a very impressive business.
Key responsibilities:
- Category Management of Automation, engineering and logistics spend categories
- Act as a business partner to key stakeholders across the business internally as well as suppliers
- Logistics procurement experience is ideal – Particularly on automation (Knapp, Witron, SwissLog), automation maintenance, automation spare parts and engineering
- Embed procurement best practice across the Logistics category and identify process improvement opportunities proactively
- A keen eye for detail is a must – identifying risk mitigation opportunities whilst demonstrating expert negotiation skills
Key skills:
- Experience managing the Logistics & Engineering procurement categories
- Very strong and demonstrable negotiation skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to partner at all levels
- Particular expertise in contract negotiation and management for Logistics tenders
What’s on offer:
£80,000 – £90,000 + bonus
