Category Manager (Indirects) | Entertainment | London

A world-renowned international entertainment company with exciting growth plans within its Procurement function is recruiting a Category Manager (Indirects) to work across FM, IT, Marketing and Professional Services spend. The business employs some of the brightest people in the entertainment industry with the Procurement team delivering excellence across the enterprise.

As Category Manager (Indirects) your key responsibilities will be:

• Category Management
• Supplier Selection / Management
• Sourcing-driven Project Management
• Financial, Cost, Spend Analysis, Cost Savings Reporting
• Negotiation, Contract Creation and Management
• Client Relationship Management

Skills and experience required:

  • Must have proven project management experience, excellent communication skills, advanced computer literacy, ability to analyse and resolve complex issues, and a team-building work style for a fast-paced environment
  • Must have demonstrated skills to lead projects in an international and multi-cultural environment
  • Proficiency in developing complex RFPs and conducting complex bid analysis is required
  • Strong supplier management/performance measurement monitoring experience
  • Must be knowledgeable of, and experienced in, application of Strategic Sourcing best practices
  • Ability to deliver professional and effective communications, verbally or in writing thorough presentations that are persuasive, and result in a positive impact on the business
  • Advanced analytical skills and demonstrated application of category-specific best practices
  • Must have strong leadership quality, be a visionary, and be customer service oriented
  • Must be a flexible team player with high energy
  • Must have demonstrated ability in defining, developing, and implementing strategy and programs
  • Must have experience of coaching and developing team members
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment, dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty
  • Practices a high degree of professional integrity and ethical responsibility in all business activities.
  • A minimum of four years worth of experience in a global category management
