Senior Category Manager

This transforming organisation has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Category Manager to join their team and take responsibility for the HR category. You’ll work with stakeholders in HR and across the business to ensure they have a robust category strategy for Recruitment & contingent labour together with HR Services, Reward & Learning & Development.

As a Senior Category Manager, you’ll lead the design, build and maintenance of the category strategy. You’ll manage your category area, continually reviewing efficacy, efficiency and security of the current supply chain whilst proactively seeking out opportunities to ensure we remain competitive and up to date with regulatory changes.

You’ll need to build and maintain key business and stakeholder relationships to form a true working partnership, leveraging the talent within your team to become a recognised Centre of Excellence.

About You

They’re looking for you to have a strong background in Category Management, with the ability to demonstrate your approach to category planning and strategy approach. You will have experience in the HR category and demonstrable experience.

You’ll have a natural ability to manage influential and senior stakeholders across the business and deliver key strategic messages, to ensure a collaborative approach is taken. You’ll be able to negotiate with these internal stakeholders and external parties, in order to get the best for our customers and members.

You’ll ideally come from an insurance or financial services industry, but you’ll definitely possess strong commercial acumen.

Any people management experience would be beneficial.

Whilst the business is Dorset based, they operate an agile work force and there are options to work from home or from other offices around the UK, as long as you can get to Dorset on a regular basis.
