Procurement Heads are excited to partner with an incredible retail organisation in recruiting a 12- month FTC Category Buyer for a newly established cross category procurement team. The team has been set up to drive value through areas of spend not currently under management and with figures exceeding £1.5billion across 650 suppliers there are certainly multiple opportunities to proactively seek opportunities to reduce cost and improve commercial terms through reviewing supplier strategies, market testing and negotiation
Role & Responsibilities
- Delivering a high number of robust and commercial contracts across a range of categories
- Driving business value through all supplier interactions
- Supporting with the delivery of Procurement sustainability initiatives
- Managing multiple end-to-end sourcing processes and strategic Procurement initiatives
- Utilising data to drive decision-making, monitor compliance and track progress
Skills & Experience
- Experience in a Procurement role, including managing end-to-end sourcing processes
- A background in delivering savings and commercial value
- Experience of contract drafting including development of schedules, commercials, and appropriate terms and conditions
- Strong analytical and commercial approach
- Confident and capable of challenging the status quo
- An ability to get going quickly, balancing multiple projects while prioritising effectively
