Scope 3 & Product Carbon Footprint
Salary: c.£60,000 + 15% bonus
Hybrid working: 1 day/week in Towcester or Kings Lynn
Are you ready to lead real-world sustainability impact and shape how a successful manufacturing business tackles Scope 3 emissions?
We’re looking for a hands-on carbon accounting expert to take ownership of Product Carbon Footprinting (PCF) across a diverse product portfolio and build a clear, credible roadmap to reduce Scope 3 emissions at scale.
This is a high-impact role working with globally recognised retailers and complex international supply chains.
Remit of the Carbon Accounting Officer
- Driving Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) measurement across all in-scope products, working directly with global suppliers to gather materials, manufacturing, and supply chain data
- Leading the calculation, reporting, and improvement of Scope 3 emissions, aligned with the GHG Protocol, ISO standards, and Paris Accord commitments
- Building and delivering a Scope 3 reduction roadmap, identifying practical emission-reduction opportunities across products and supply chains
- Engaging internal teams and senior stakeholders to set priorities, manage KPIs, and provide clear progress updates
- Managing external partners and data providers, setting SLAs and ensuring high-quality, auditable outputs
- Preparing carbon disclosures for ESG reporting frameworks and supporting audits and third-party verification
- Optimising carbon accounting tools and providing guidance and training to internal teams
Experience required for the Carbon Accounting Officer
- Proven experience in carbon accounting, Product Carbon Footprints (PCF), or Scope 3 emissions reporting
- Confidence engaging and influencing global suppliers and navigating complex supply chains
- Passion for sustainability and turning data into real-world impact
