Procurement Heads’ Interim Networking Event



In case you missed the various updates on LinkedIn, the Procurement Heads team hosted a networking evening exclusively for contractors on the 27th of June.

We all met at Browns in Covent Garden, and from there the networking commenced…

While the space was a little cosy for the over-subscribed event, on what was a hot summer’s day, we found Browns to be very accommodating.

Given the popularity of the event, we’ll make sure to get a bigger space next time!

As more and more interim procurement and supply chain professionals arrived the buzz of the event grew, and all around the room I could see people engaging in thought-provoking conversations.

I was pleased to hear that people were feeling positive about the market and that most are prepared and relaxed about the IR35 changes ahead of us.

All-round, I feel there were great introductions and discussions taking place.

I hoped that those who attended would come away with one or two new names in their phonebook, but as a team, we were also keen to make connections with the trusted contacts in our network.

I really enjoyed seeing some familiar faces and making new introductions too.

To ensure the communication continues from here we’ve set up various online/social media groups to facilitate a continued dialogue.

The success of the event doesn’t stop there!

We have already secured one of the attendees a new interim contract with a start date imminent.

Through the strength of the relationship, we have built with this person we were able to keep the process succinct and secure them an uplift in the day rate to that which had been advertised.

This event is the first of many for us here at Procurement Heads, and again thank you to every single person who attended.
